Chough

The chough is the UKs rarest Corvid and lives on short, grazed grassland and coastal heathland where it probes the ground with its long, red bill for insects.. Chough build nests in small colonies in crevices and fissures, on rock ledges and cliff faces. The Chough's breeding range is restricted to the far west of Cornwall, western and northern Wales, the Isle of Man, a small number of western Scottish islands and the southern, western and northern coasts of the island of Ireland.
