Wigeon in flight (Male and Female pair)
Large numbers of Wigeon winter on coastal areas. They breed in central and northern Scotland and also in northern England. Many birds visit the UK in winter from Iceland, Scandinavia and Russia. Resident in smaller numbers in the far south east of England.
