Cormorant exiting the water
Cormorant exiting the water

Cormorant has just left the water in this shot and is flapping its wings to shake off excess water before standing with wings open to completely dry them off. The tips of these birds feathers have no natural oil, which allows them to dive to catch fish but need to dry by airing before taking flight again.
